The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), has issued an official notice informing students about the impending closure of course registration for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a press release dated 24 January 2026 and signed by the Office of the Public Relations Officer, the university management had earlier announced that the registration exercise would close on 25 January 2026.

However, the Students’ Union acknowledged that several students have raised concerns over the short timeline. In response, the SUG disclosed that it has formally communicated these concerns to the school management on behalf of the student body.

The Union further assured students that engagements with the management are currently ongoing, with the aim of securing a possible extension or adjustment of the registration deadline. The leadership expressed optimism that the discussions would yield a positive outcome in the interest of all students.

Students have been advised to remain calm and stay attentive to further updates as negotiations continue.
