Hypothenuse= x
Opposite= 3
Adjacent= y
Angle= 60°

From SOHCAHTOA,

Opposite/Hypothenuse= 3/x = sin 60°

x= 3/(sin 60°) = 3/(½(√3))= 6/√3= 2√3

Also, from Pythagoras theorem,

(Hypothenuse)²= (Opposite)² + (Adjacent)²

x²= 3² + y²

(2√3)²= 9 + y²

y²= 12 - 9= 3

y= √3.
