Nigeria – The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) has released the official timetable for the 2026 JUPEB examinations, scheduled to run over two weeks in August 2026.

According to the timetable, Week 1 (August 3–7, 2026) will feature multiple‑choice questions (MCQ), computer‑based testing (CBT), and practicals, while Week 2 (August 10–14, 2026) will focus on essay and practical papers.

Week 1 Schedule (MCQ/CBT/Practical)

· Monday, August 3, 2026 – Briefing session in the morning, followed by History MCQ (morning) and Physics, Government, Economics, Accounting, and Agricultural Science MCQs in the afternoon.

· Tuesday, August 4, 2026 – Physics MCQ (morning); Chemistry MCQ (afternoon); Economics and Visual Arts/French MCQ (evening session).

· Wednesday, August 5, 2026 – Chemistry MCQ (morning and afternoon); Economics and Visual Arts/French MCQ (evening).

· Thursday, August 6, 2026 – Biology MCQ (morning); Christian Religious Studies (CRS), Islamic Studies (ISS), and Mathematics MCQ (afternoon).

· Friday, August 7, 2026 – Physics Practical and French Practical (morning session).

Week 2 Schedule (Essay/Practical)

· Monday, August 10, 2026 – Yoruba/Igbo Essay (morning); French/Music Essay, History/Agricultural Science Essay, and Mathematics Essay (afternoon).

· Tuesday, August 11, 2026 – Chemistry Essay (morning); CRS/ISS/Business Studies Essay, Biology/Geography Essay, and Visual Arts/Agricultural Science Practical (afternoon).

· Wednesday, August 12, 2026 – Government Essay (morning); Literature/Accounting Essay, Economics/Visual Arts Essay, and Physics Essay (afternoon).

· Thursday, August 13, 2026 – No examinations scheduled.

· Friday, August 14, 2026 – Chemistry Practical and Music Practical (morning).
