- A- Axe;
- B - Spade;
- C- Sickle;
- D -Hand trowel;
- E - Shears;
- F - Hand Fork / Garden fork.
(b) Uses of Specimens:
- A -Axe is used for felling trees, cutting stumps/ cutting roots, splitting woods, uprooting stumps/stumping, cutting firewood, cutting logs.
- B - Spade is used in turning mixing soil, digging soil/levelling soil , making mounds or ridges or heaps beds, seedbed making, mixing cement/concrete for farm structure, digging trenches.
- C- Sickle is used for harvesting grasses/cutting grasses, for harvesting cereals, for plucking fruits/ mangoes.
- D - Hand trowel is used for transplanting seedlings and also for fertilizer manure application for loosening vegetable beds and loosening soil, for light weeding and planting seeds/ seedlings.
- E -Shears is used for prunning operations, for trimming hedges, for cutting flowers.
- F- Hand Fork is used for loosening Surface soil / breaking soil clods for weeding, for mixing small quantities of soil/manure, for working manure into the soil.
- F - Garden fork is used Tor loading of manure as well as the loading of hay. It is also Used in the loosening of soil.
