If I was using a microscope and the power went out, I would probably do a few things. First, I'd probably take some notes about where I was in my observations, so I could pick up where I left off when the power came back on. Second, I'd make sure to cover the microscope with a dark cloth or towel to protect the lens from dust and damage. And third, I'd try to stay calm and patient - I know the power will come back on eventually, and I'll be able to get back to my work.
