Let the two numbers be 3x and 4x.
When 10 is subtracted from both, the ratio becomes 1:2.
(3x-10)/(4x-10) = 1/2
Cross-multiplying, we get:
2(3x-10) = 4x-10
6x-20 = 4x-10
2x = 10
x = 5
Therefore, the original numbers are 3x = 15 and 4x = 20.
