I was told that government is compulsory in post utme exam for accounting in AAUA but I didn't offer it in school. How true is this?

Your post utme question wil be base on your jamb subject combination

Yes, it is true.
You would write Eng 20,maths 15,apptitude 10,econ 15,gov 15.
Making it 75 questions altogether to be done in 50 minutes.
aptitude test is like general question(current affairs,logical,general knowledge,etc),

In their post utme exam you would need to write the same subject you wrote in jamb.
  • Gaby: JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR
    ACCOUNTANCY

    English Language(*), Mathematics,
    Economics plus any Social Science
    subject.

    AAUA accepts any one (1) of Commerce, Accounting, Government or Geography as the
    third (3rd) subject.

    So government would not be compulsory, the subject combination you did in jamb would be the same subject you would write in their post utme.
