Congratulations are in order for Usman Dagona, the winner of the imagine national chemistry competition that held in Abuja, on the 23rd of November 2020.

The Yobe state government on Monday said it has offered a scholarship and automatic employment to Usman, an indigene of the state who came first at the Competition in Abuja.

Alhaji Audu Galadima, Director, Schools Services, state Ministry for Basic and Secondary Education, disclosed this in a statement in Damaturu.

Usman Dagona, a 2018 National Certificate in Education (NCE) graduate from Umar Suleiman College of Education, Gashua, Yobe, emerged the winner of the competition after beating 1,749 others.

He further represented Nigeria at the Imagine Chemistry International Akzo Nobel Competition 2020/2021 held in the Netherlands, where he took the second position
