One of the recently approved private universities, Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila (AUSU) has revealed that it will take off with two Faculties and 12 Degree Programmes. The university announced this via its Facebook page.

The programmes are as follows:

FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND COMPUTING

1. B. Sc Computer Science

2. B. Eng Software Engineering

3. B. Sc Physics with Electronics

4. B. Sc Mathematics

5. B.Sc Chemistry

6. B.Sc Biology.

FACULTY OF ARTS, SOCIAL SCIENCES AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES

1. B. A. Islamic Studies

2. B.Sc Economics

3. B.Sc Accounting

4. B.Sc Taxation

5. B.Sc Entrepreneurship Studies

6. B. Sc Political Science

The Univerisity Management can admit candidates with the national minimum cut off point stipulated by JAMB - 160 but were not admitted by their universities of their first choice.
