The College of Agriculture in Sokoto State will be completed by the end of December, 2012.

The state’s Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Jabbi Kilgori, disclosed this on Monday when he paid an unscheduled visit to the project site at Munki near Wurno.

According to him, the project is aimed at boosting agricultural manpower in the state and the nation.

The commissioner said the work has reached about 60 per cent completion, and expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work done so far. He however called on the contracting firm to mobilize more manpower and facilities to the site towards ensuring completion of the project by the end of next month.

Responding, representative of contracting firm, Mr Ahmad Ajam, assured that the project would be completed on schedule.
