The activities of the student union government (FUTO) chapter lost its glory due to some then unresolved issues and problems that befall the union.

The problem was more or less unclear to the students of the institution until the public notice,which reads"From the student union government,after the sitting and deliberations made by the members of the house,the S.U.G president Comr Elendu Otis and the S.U.G D.O.T {director of transport} Comr Alloziem Chima has been suspended indefinitely from exercising their power as democratically elected members of the union".

This public notice left everybody in a biased state of mind about what is the rudiment of their suspension.Everyone continued in their gossip and guest to know what really happened.

From the almost middle of the harmattan semester of the 2011/2012 academic session in FUTO, her S.U.G operated with representatives who runs the activities of the office of these suspended members.Including the office of the p.R.O{public relations officer}whose holder is still serving his punishment from the school authority.

The FUTO S.U.G was ran and handled by ladies who were the deputies of these suspended fellows, Comr Nwauzor Christy {V.P} and Comr Okoro November {Ass Sec Gen} acted as PRESIDENT and PRO respectively throughout the semester.

Its now a fresh semester and a rain semester indeed.Though,the P.R.O comr Ike Uche is still on punishment.The good news reached the students of the Federal University of Technology Owerri on Tuesday 19th June 2012 after the sitting of the members of the Students representative council {s.R.C} FUTO chapter, that the indefinite suspension of s.U.G president and d.O.T is over.

They can now be addressed as Comrades once again.

FUTO S.U.G is making sense once again.
