FUTO does NOT calculate admission using only JAMB score or “aggregate” like some private systems.
They use:
JAMB score (UTME)
Post-UTME score
O’level performance
Then combine them into an aggregate score
1. Medicine & Surgery in FUTO
From recent admission data:
Medicine & Surgery cut-off (JAMB eligibility): around 200+ minimum
But real competition level: 250–280+ range for serious chance
2. Your score analysis
JAMB: 298
This is excellent (top tier)
You are well above all minimum requirements
O’level:
3 A’s + B grades = very strong result
No weak subject mentioned → good for Medicine
3. Estimated aggregate (simple explanation)
Different schools calculate differently, but in FUTO-style screening:
JAMB contributes heavily
Post-UTME also very important
With:
JAMB 298
Strong O’level (A’s and B’s)
Your estimated aggregate would likely be in the high competitive range (around 75–85+)
