The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan, is pleased to announce the commencement of the 6th edition of the annual 'FISAYO SOYOMBO ESSAY COMPETITION.'

Objective:
This competition, now in its 6th year, invites solution-focused essays addressing issues of national significance. It is open to all undergraduate students in Nigerian universities.

Essay Topic for 2024:

"BLESSED YET IMPOVERISHED: HOW CAN NIGERIA SOLVE ITS CORRUPTION ISSUES?"

Requirements:

- Word Count: 1500-2000 words

- Format: Times New Roman, Font Size 12, 1.5 Line Spacing.

Prizes:

1. First Place: N250,000

2. Second Place: N150,000

3. Third Place: N100,000

Submission Procedure:

Interested participants should submit their entries via email to ucjunibadan@gmail.com, including the essay and a copy of their school ID in separate PDF files. The subject of the email should be "FISAYO SOYOMBO ESSAY CONTEST."

Deadline for Submission: January 31, 2024
