This is to inform all Staff and Students that the College will resume from Covid-19 Break on 26/10/20, as directed by the State Government. The College Academic Board at its sitting on 19/10/20 has approved Monday 2/11/20- 20/12/20 as the date for continuation and termination of 2019/2020 Academic Session normal Lectures for Pre-NCE, NCE, Pre-Dip, Dip and Adv Dip Programs and also 6/11/20-20/12/20 for the continuation and termination of Lectures for Center for Continue Education respectively.
First Semester 2019/2020 Academic Session Examination for Pre-NCE, NCE, Pre-Dip, Dip and Adv Dip will commence on Monday 4/1/21. While that of CCE will commence on Friday 8/1/21.
Second Semester 2019/2020 Academic Session Lectures for Pre-NCE, NCE, Pre-Dip, Dip, Adv Dip and CCE will commence on Monday 22/2/21- 16/5/21.
Note: Center for Continue Education NCE 3, Examination will commence on 6/11/20.
Resumption Guidelines
In preparations of re-opening the college as directed by the Kano state government, Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies (AKCILS) has today inaugurated 13 member Covid-19 taskforce committee to oversee the general implementations of Covid-19 protocol' in the college.
Inaugurating the committee during an emergency Academic Board meeting of the college, the Provost of the college, Prof. Balarabe Abubakar Jakada said, the committee was established in line with the global best practices to curtail the spread of the disease among the students and general staff of the college.
He pointed out that, all necessary equipment and valuable items that include, Non-Woven fabric face masks, Non-contact infrared thermometers, hand sanitizers were on the ground as provided by the college's Management.
Prof. Jakada explained that the equipment was already handed over to the committee For the immediate and necessary actions, adding that, the college will undergo the general cleanup and fumigation exercise to complement the effort against the disease in the college.
He then tasked the committee members whom he said were carefully selected to double their effort and justify the confidence repose on them.
Shedding more light on the readiness of the college, the college registrar, Malam Abubakar Yunusa said the college had employed the services of a private cleaning firm and mobilized all the necessary machinery for total adherence of disease protocol and ensures tree coronavirus academic exercise in the college.
The committee which is under the chairmanship of Malam Sani Namadi (Dean School of sciences) as well as Malam Farouk Muhammad as member/secretary has four-term of reference that include, identifying isolation center in the college, distribution of Covid-19 sanitary items; quick response to any related cases of the disease and general supervision and implementations of the disease protocol in the state.
