2026 JAMB Mock Exam - All the things candidates should know

The UTME mock is a pre-examination test organized by JAMB every year for candidates who will be taking the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates were asked to indicate their interest in taking part in the mock exam during the first wave of UTME registration. This 2026 JAMB mock will be held on Saturday, 28th March, 2026. Even if you're not writing on that day, make sure you come online to get live updates, mock questions, answers and explanations that will be shared. This will help you further prepare for the main exam.

For the records, the mock exam is not compulsory. The score is not added to the main exam and it is not a requirement to participate in the main exam.

2026 JAMB Mock Exam - All the things candidates should know

The main purpose of the mock examination is to enable candidates to assess their level of preparation and acquaint themselves with the computer-based test environment.  The mock examination was introduced in 2017 to allow all candidates to have hands-on experience with the system, especially those not conversant with computers.

The mock exam is also an avenue for JAMB to test all systems in all centres to ensure they work efficiently for the main exam. It also prepares the CBT centres and gives them an insight into how they should handle candidates in the main exam.

The printing of the 2026 JAMB UTME mock exam slip has NOT begun yet. The mock exam slip will indicate the venue and time of the exam for eligible candidates. We will let you know here, and send you a notification on the Myschool app once the printing of exam slips commences.

Whether or not you are taking the mock exam, we have you covered as you can have the same experience and achieve the same mock exam objective with the Myschool JAMB CBT Mobile App for mobile phones or the Myschool JAMB CBT Software for computer systems.

The app and software have a similar interface to the one that JAMB will use in the main exam. You can set your mock questions, test your self and see how prepared you are for the main exam. Don't be left out. CLICK HERE now to download the app for mobile devices or CLICK HERE to download the software for computer systems.

As the JAMB mock approaches, here are the updates all candidates should be expecting from Myschool, whether or not you are taking the mock exams;

  • Date for the mock exam slip printing and procedures
  • What candidates are to look out for during the mock exam
  • A section to allow all JAMB mock candidates to meet online and interact
  • Mock Live Update: A post for candidates to give updates before the mock begins; from the moment they get to the venue
  • Mock Experience Update: We'll be giving out cash rewards to mock candidates who can clearly compose their mock exam experiences. This is a post for candidates to narrate their experiences after the mock exam. This will help candidates who will not participate in the mock.
  • Mock Questions Update: This is a thread for candidates to provide questions they came across during the mock exam. This is equally to help candidates who will not be taking part in the mock. We'll also be giving out cash rewards to mock candidates who can share some of the questions asked.

So, from now on, ensure you visit myschool.ng every day for these updates and much more in the coming days.

In the meantime, you can help yourself with JAMB's list of prohibited items in the exam hall and instructions on biometric verification.
