Introduction:

INTRODUCTION
Training is the key factor in enhancing the efficiency and expertise of the program. The Students Industrial Work Experience program was established by ITF in 1974 under the leadership of Gen. Yakubu Gowan. It comprises of 22 area offices with its headquarter in Jos, in Plateau state. The programmed is to solve the problems of adequate practical skills need for employment. No society can achieve meaningful progress without encouraging its youth to acquire necessary practical skills.
SIWES is a genetic, cutting across over 60 programmed in the university, over 400 programmed in the polytechnics and about 10 programmed in colleges of education. SIWES is not specific to any one course of studies or discipline.
