Abstract:

Green building as innovation in Nigeria building industry is experiencing a technological growth similar in scale to that of the entire industrial revolution. This shows the level reached so far by the construction industry to the effect of progress. Construction materials and processes are changing in response to diverse environmental concerns, globalization, increased competition, advances in information technology, computer-aided design, and so on.

This project work will discuss a few of the exciting possibilities that are being explored in the Nigerian building industry. The innovation are not made to be exhaustive rather it serves as an introduction to some ideas that could revolutionalize the way building are designed and constructed with materials that have a better shape, beautiful and intelligent. By the use of the new material and technology, it will mean that buildings are cheaper to run, more durable, attractive to tenants. These new processes also reduce the environmental impact of a completed building.
