Abstract:
The need for efficient and effective communication methods has driven the development of advanced display systems. The versatility and visibility of electronic display boards make them ideal for conveying messages in diverse environments. They can be used to display announcements, advertisements, schedules, news, and other pertinent information in real-time. The rapid technological advancements in this domain have significantly improved the functionality, resolution, and energy efficiency of these boards, making them more accessible and affordable.
The project involves the design, assembly, and testing of a versatile electronic display system. This system integrates multiple electronic components, including a transformer, bridge rectifier, filter capacitor, voltage regulator, microcontroller (Arduino), shift registers, and an LED matrix. The power supply unit converts AC mains voltage to a stable 5V DC output, ensuring reliable operation of the entire circuit. The microcontroller serves as the system's brain, processing data and controlling the LED matrix to display text, images, and animations. Shift registers expand the microcontroller’s output capabilities, allowing it to control a large number of LEDs with limited I/O pins. Each LED is connected through current-limiting resistors to prevent damage. Systematic testing was conducted to verify the functionality of each component, ensuring the display board operates reliably. This project demonstrates the practical application of electronics in creating a functional display system and provides a foundation for future innovations in display technology.
