The change in volume when 450kg of ice is completely melted is [density of ice = 900 kgm\(^{-3}\), density of water = 1000 kgm\(^{-3}\)]
Vol. of ice = \(\frac{\text{M}}{\text{D}}\) = \(\frac{450}{900}\) = 0.500m\(^3\)
vol. of water = \(\frac{\text{M}}{\text{D}}\) = \(\frac{450}{1000}\) = 0.450m\(^3\)
∴ Difference in vol. = 0.500 - 0.450
= 0.05m\(^3\)
