An ode is a formal poem praising a person/thing, but it does not call upon a deity for blessings. An elegy is a poem mourning the dead. This excerpt shows no mourning. A limerick is a humorous five-line poem with a fixed rhyme scheme (AABBA). This excerpt isn’t humorous and doesn’t follow that form.
