It is definitely Personification..why?
personification is the attribution of human qualitiee to non living or inanimate objects, a close figure with anthropomorphism.
In this extract Muderous slumber is a personificatiom because 1. To "murder" is a human quality, not the quality of a slumber.
2. To "lay something upon something" is also a human quality, not the quality of sleep but all this is attributed to sleep.
so definitely it is peraonification
But if there is no personification in the options then it is apostrophe
