Eulogy is to praise someone and there is no atom of praise in the above context rather it's tales of death which is in line with elegy
I really don't understand this right now 🤧

the answer is Elegy

see explanation below 👇
A eulogy is a speech or written tribute that praises someone who has died, often focusing on their accomplishments, virtues, and positive qualities.

The extract doesn't seem to praise or honor the hunter and the blacksmith. Instead, it highlights the poverty they left behind, which is a more somber and melancholic tone, characteristic of an elegy.

So, while both elegy and eulogy deal with death, the tone and focus of the extract make it more suitable to be classified as an elegy.
