In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Library and Information Science under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in the above listed universities include;
Any three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects

(i) FUL requires any three (3) subjects
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Library and Information Science;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language and Mathematics
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVERS) REMARK
(i) FUL requires Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and three (3) other relevant Arts/Sciences/Social Sciences.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Library and Information Science, if you don't intend to use UTME.
You require;(i) Two (2) 'A' Level passes in relevant subjects.
(ii) NCE/ND in relevant subject/programmes
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVERS) REMARK
(i) FUL accepts 'A' Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics. NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) other Science or Social Science subject. Diploma/ND in Library and Information Science with upper credit/merit.
