In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Sociology under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above listed universities include;
Government/ History plus two (2) other Social Sciences/Arts subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
FUK requires Government or History plus two other Arts or Social Science
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Sociology;
You require;Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, History/Government/Eco nomics one Science subject and any Arts or Social Science subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) PLASU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and three (3) Social sciences or Arts subjects plus at least 'O' Level pass in Mathematics.
(ii) FUK requires Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Government/History and two other Arts or Social Sciences subjects.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Sociology, if you don't intend to use UTME.

FUK accepts Credit/merit pass in relevant ND/NCE or three 'A' Level in IJMB with minimum of 9 points.
