Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements


In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Business Administration under the Faculty of Administration in the above listed universities include;

Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

(i) ABU requires Use of English, Economics, mathematics and any Management or Social Science Subject.

(ii) FUDMA requires Five ‘O’ level Credits to include: English Language, Mathematics Economics/Entrepreneurship/Commerce/Marketing and any two subjects.

(iii) UNILAG requires Mathematics, Economics and any one (1) subject from Science, Social Science or Arts.

(iv) OOU - the third (3rd) subject should be a Social Science subject.

(v) UNIZIK- Economics is not compulsory.

(vi) COOU  – Mathematics, Economics, plus any one (1) of Government and Geography

(vii) DELSU requires Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject.

(viii) UNIMAID requires Mathematics, any of Principles of Accounting/Commerce/Economics and any other Social Science subject.

(ix) FUOYE requires Mathematics, Economics and one other subject.

(x) FUK requires Mathematics Economics/Commerce and any of Accounting, Government and Geography
 

O'Level Requirements


The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Business Administration;

You require;

Five (5) SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two (2) other relevant subjects.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

(i) (i) AAUA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two from Commerce, Accounting, Geography, and Government.

(ii) ABU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two (2) Subjects.

(iii) UNIABUJA and COOU accept Commerce In lieu of Economics

(iv) UNILAG requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) of Financial Accounting, Government, Geography, CRS/IS, Business Management.

(v) UNIZIK accepts a pass in Economics

(vi) UNIZIK accepts English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) relevant subjects.

(vii) LCU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and other two (2) subjects.

(viii) FUK requires Five credit passes at SSCE( or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Economics and any other two from Commerce, Accounting, Office Practice, Marketing, ICT, Civic Education, Government and Geography.

(ix) DELSU requires five (5) credits at SSC 'O’ Level or its equivalent obtained at not more than two (2) sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, one Social Science subject and any other subject in Arts, Science and Social Science.

(x) FUOYE requires five (5) SSC credit including English, Mathematics, Economics, plus any two (2) of Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geog, and Statistics.

Direct Entry Requirements


These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Business Administration, if you don't intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics.
 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

(i) AAUA accepts ND upper credit in relevant programmes or HND lower credit plus the UTME requirements.

(ii) AAUA requires 'A' Level pass in Economics or Business Management.

(iii) ABU accepts  Two ‘A’ Level / IJMB passes in Management/Social Science Subjects one of which must be Economics. A Minimum Merit in ABU Diploma in Insurance, Management, Banking or Accounting.

(iv) FUK accepts Two 'A’ Level credit passes in Economics, Accounting, Management or ND/NCE with credit passes in relevant subjects.

(v) UNIABUJA accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics, Commerce; NCE or ND at upper credit level or ten (10) points in IJMB in relevant subjects in addition to the 'O’ Level requirements.

(vii) ESUT accepts ND in relevant programmes within the Faculty into 200 level in addition to the UTME requirements.

(viii) UNIJOS accepts ND lower credit, DELSU and BUK (upper credit) in relevant programmes.

(ix)  UNILAG requires Very good passes in three (3) JUPEB/’A’ Level subjects: Economics and any two (2) of Financial Accounting, Business Management, Government, Geography and Mathematics.

(x) MCU accepts;
   (a) JUPEB/IJMB/ATS (Final) of ICAN or approved equivalent in related programmes.
   (b) AIB or other professional qualifications in relevant programmes.

(xi) COOU accept ND lower credit, AIB and Degree/HND in relevant programmes.

(xii)  NSUK accepts HND at lower credit, AIB or other Professional qualifications in relevant programmes or IJMB in relevant subjects not below ten (10) points.

(xiii)  OOU accepts NCE/ND/HND.

(xiv) OOU, and UNIUYO –Two (2) 'A' Level passes chosen from Accounting, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Geography and Statistics.

(xvi) EKSU - Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.

(xvii) UDUSOK - as applicable to Accounting. 

(xviii) UNIZIK accepts Mathematics but not Geography. Requires applicants to possess the UTME requirements.

(xxii) WELLSPRING accepts ND, NCE, IJMB, NABTEB ‘A’ Level, HND passes at credit/lower credit level in relevant subjects/programmes in addition to the ‘O’ Level requirements.

(xxii)  DELSU requires;
   (a) GCE ‘A’ Level or HSC pass in Management, Economics and at least one other subject.
   (b) HND or ND with a grade not lower than upper credit.
   (c) Foundation/Intermediate Examination passes of recognized professional       bodies such as Chartered Institute      Management of Nigeria (CIMN),      Chartered Institute Marketing of Nigeria (CIMN).

(xxiv) FUOYE requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics.

(xxv) ADSU accepts HND /ND/NCE at Credit/merit level in appropriate programmes/subjects
