The prophet whose wife was impious and consequently suffered the same calamity with the unbelievers was
Prophet let was sent to Sodom and Gomorrah to preach to the people to turn away from their sexual immorality (men were sleeping with men, women were sleeping with women), the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, refused to listen to lūt warning. They even assaulted him, then Allah sent an angel to tell lot to leave with his family away from there because Allah wants to destroy the city.
Allah had decreed that the city of Sodom should perish. An earthquake rocked the town. It was as if a mighty power had lifted the entire city and flung it down in one jolt. A storm of stones rained on the city. Everyone and everything was destroyed, including Lūt's wife.
