Both options (A & D) are correct but according to the rule, the most correct option should be chosen. 'A' is correct but 'opposition' also has its advantage. 'D' is the most correct option because 'costly to operate' does not has any advantage. Pls inbox if i have made any mistake.

correct answer: D
for those thinking about 'A'... An opposition government is favourable for the purpose of checks, the other party would always be on guard not to f**kup or commit any blunder that would desecrate their name, and result in their overthrowing thereby resulting in electing a new government.

So... its not a total demerit, as option A possesses two options and most definitely having a positive and negative (as my government teacher back then use to tell us that anything that has a merit... has a demerit, and vice versa(also my economics teacher too).

The answer is between A and B but as said A has a stronger poin

t of been the answer. When multiple party struggle for power and authority you will see dat the whole country becos

instable which can lead to destruction of life and property, arson etc

A and D is correct bt i tink A is more correct cuz multi party leads to political instability and leads to division of the country, which enable everybdy supporting the party from is ethnic which lead to opposition of d party in power.

A is more of a merit sef because though it cuz unnecessary rivalry buh it prevents dictatorship,so d is a full demerit

while a multi party election is expensive to run all elections are very expensive to run regardless, here's why A is the answer:

Coalition Governments: In multi-party systems, forming a government often requires multiple parties to work together in a coalition. This can lead to complex negotiations and compromises, potentially creating instability.
Legislative Gridlock: With many parties, it can be difficult to achieve a majority to pass legislation, leading to gridlock.
Focus on Fringe Issues: Smaller parties might focus on niche issues to appeal to their base, making it harder to find common ground on broader national concerns.
However, some argue healthy opposition is a sign of a functioning democracy.
