The War Against Indiscipline (WAI) was a mass mobilisation program in Nigeria aimed at correcting social maladjustment and corruption. It was officially launched in March 1984. It was a hallmark initiative of the military government of Major General Muhammadu Buhari (1983–1985). The program was announced by his second-in-command, Brigadier General Tunde Idiagbon.
The campaign promoted orderliness, such as queuing correctly for buses, and instilled a strong work ethic and national unity. It also mandated the prominent display of the national flag and the singing of the national anthem in schools.
