Who was the first national president of the National Council of Nigeria and Cameroon?
The National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC) was founded in 1944 as one of the earliest nationalist political parties in Nigeria. Herbert Macaulay was elected as the first national president of the NCNC. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe served as the secretary and later became the president after Macaulay’s death in 1946.
