the answer is Habeas Corpus tho. to be summonsed by a court, you dont have to be a detainee but Habeas Corpus is when an actual detainee is ordered to be present is the law court.

The answer is Habeas corpus. I just made research on both words and I can say that summons is a court order demanding a person (defendant) to appear in court and answer to a case brought against him by the Plaintiff. While Habeas corpus orders a detainee to appear in court to determine if his detention is lawful

The word you must have at heart is DETAINEE.
Habeas Corpus is used to summon someone already DETAINED. While summons is issued to a FREE person to appear before a court

The "Great Writ" of habeas corpus is a fundamental right in the Constitution that protects against unlawful and indefinite imprisonment. Translated from Latin it means "show me the body." Habeas corpus has historically been an important instrument to safeguard individual freedom against arbitrary executive power.

summons, also called Citation, in law, document issued by a court ordering a specific person to appear at a specific time for some specific purpose. It is issued either directly to the person or to a law officer who must carry out the instructions.

habeas corpus

(legal) A writ to bring a person before a court or a judge, most frequently used to ensure that a person's imprisonment, detention, or commitment is legal.

So at this point, Summon is the correct answer
