i don't know if anyone has come across the question " the highest stage of socialism is communism' . socialism is also when the economy is controlled by the government but when it gets to the highest stage of control it becomes communism and that is where dictatorship comes in. so i think it should be dictatorship

I don't know where most of you guys are getting your definition of Communism to be where the government controls means of production.
The communism I know is a system of social organization in which all property is owned by THE COMMUNITY and EACH PERSON CONTRIBUTES AND RECEIVES ACCORDING TO THEIR ABILITY AND NEEDS.
In my above definition of Communism (from the word: Community) it's essential feature is FREE ENTERPRISE. People trade freely and donate freely.
