Among above mentioned Presidents, only Alhaji Shehu Shagari came to power through election.Nnamdi Azikwe was appointed by the parliament as the first Nigeria President in 1963 but his position was mostly ceremonial. True democracy implies election,thus,the Nigeria First Executive President should be Alhaji Shehu Shagari who mantle the presidential post through election in 1979.
