My brothers. I also failed d question bcoz I chose Ironsi though I found out I didn't look @ d question well. D correct answer is Babangida bcoz he claimed presidency. So d 1st MILITARY HEAD OF STATEE was Ironsi while d 1st "MILITARY PRESIDENT" was Babangida. Thanks.

Now get this from me if the Question was "Who is the first Military head of state in Nigeria"? the Answer will be Gen. JTU Aguiyi Ironsi.... but this question is " who is the first military President in Nigeria" so the answer is actually Gen Ibrahim Babangida becuase he did claimed Presidency

The first military president in Nigeria is Major General J.T.U Aguiyi-Ironsi.He over thrown the civilian government of Alhaji Abubaka Tafawa Balewa in 1966

The first military president in Nigeria was General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB).
He came to power through a military coup on August 27, 1985, overthrowing Major General Muhammadu Buhari.
He ruled Nigeria as Military President from 1985 to 1993.
He introduced the title “Military President” instead of Head of State to sound more like a civilian leader while still ruling under military control.
🪖 However, if you meant the first military ruler or Head of State, that was Major General J.T.U Aguiyi-Ironsi, who took power in January 1966 after the first coup in Nigeria.
So:
First military ruler: Major General Aguiyi-Ironsi (1966)
First military president: General Ibrahim Babangida (1985–1993)
