The central legislature of Nigeria became Bicameral in 1960. According to text books and Histories heard, according to Mcpherson constitution of 1951, he created two chambers of the regional legislature know as the House of Assembly and the House of chiefs in the western and the Northern region. So in 1960, it was this was introduced to the central government more inorder t prevent issues like ill passed bills..
