In Acts 28:8, while Paul and his companions were shipwrecked on the island of Malta, Paul healed Publius' father, who was sick with dysentery:
"It happened that the father of Publius lay sick with fever and dysentery. And Paul visited him and prayed, and putting his hands on him, healed him."
This event occurs after Paul was bitten by a viper and survived, which caused the Maltese people to believe he was a god. When Paul healed Publius' father, it further confirmed his divine power and God's presence with him.
