-It should be fluffy/light in weight.
-The flavor should be pleasing.
-It should be soft in texture/not hard.
-It should be golden brown in colour.
-The shape should not crumble when cutting/good shape.
-The skewer comes out clean when used in testing
-It should not be burnt.
-It should not be too oily
-It should not be damp.
-It should bounce back when pressed lightly
(b) Defects that could occur in cakes:
-Close/heavy/hard texture.
-Uneven texture.
-Cracks in cake.
-Bad shape.
-Dry cake.
-Uneven browning
-Sunken cake/cake sunk in the middle/not rising.
-Coarse texture.
-Holes in the cake.
-Burnt cake
-Crumbled/breaking texture.
