- Specimen J - Northern Gamba (Andropogon gayanus)
(b) Group of forage crops to which they belong:
- Specimen I - Legume
- Specimen J - Grass
(c) Úses Specimen I - Calopogonium mucunoides / Puerarial /Centrosema spp.
- grazed or fed to livestock (livestock feed).
- used as cover crops.
- checking of soil erosion.
- supplies nitrogen to the soil.
- Can be used as green manure.
- can also be used as compost material.
Specimen J- Northern Gamba grass:
- Used as livestock feed,
- checks erosion,
- can be used as mulch,
- can be used for roofing purposes,
- used as compost material.,

(d) Advantages of planting/ combining the specimens I and J are: -
- combination serves as a source of balanced ration to ruminants.
