Sand is the combination of eathly bodies or particules in their natural form. The particles include, soil, gravel, stone, e,t,c WHILE soil is each particular part of uppermost layer of the earth crust which contains organic matter and serve a particular purpose. Examples are sandy soil, lommy soil and clay soil.

from my own point of view i guese SAND-> Has to do with the collective name of many soil.

SOIL-> Has to do with a perticular type of sand e.g clay soil, sandy soil humus soil, loamy soil, alluvial soil
