could I get admission with my E8 in English for commercial student or is there any available courses for that?

To be completely direct, you cannot get admission into any of the standard undergraduate degree programmes at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Distance Learning Institute (DLI / e-Learning) with an E8 in English Language.
​UNILAG maintains a strict, non-negotiable policy for all its academic tracks. Whether you are applying for full-time regular studies or through the distance e-learning platform, every candidate must possess a minimum of 5 O'Level credits (A1–C6) in relevant subjects, and these credits must include English Language and Mathematics. An E8 is considered a pass, not a credit.
​Because of this rule, there are currently no available commercial degree courses (such as Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics) open to you at UNILAG DLI with your current O'Level layout.
