Yes, Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) absolutely offers entrepreneurship, and they actually place a very heavy emphasis on it compared to many other universities.
There are two ways you can study entrepreneurship there:
1. As a Full Degree Program
TASUED offers a dedicated degree in Entrepreneurship Studies (B.Sc. Ed). This is housed under the College of Social and Management Sciences (COSMAS). It’s designed for those who want to specialize in the field and perhaps teach it or manage large-scale ventures.
2. As a Mandatory Vocational Skill (CENVOS)
This is what makes TASUED unique. Regardless of your main course (whether you're studying Biology, English, or Mathematics), every student must undergo vocational and entrepreneurship training through the Centre for Entrepreneurial and Vocational Studies (CENVOS).
By the time you graduate, you get your degree in your main field plus a Vocational Certificate in a specific trade. Some of the available skills include:
Fashion Design and Accessory
Catering and Confectionaries
Computer Servicing and Maintenance
Textile Designing
Fish Farming, Poultry, and Beekeeping
Shoe and Bag Making
The "ENT" Course Series
Even if you aren't an Entrepreneurship major, you will likely take general entrepreneurship courses as part of your General Nigerian Studies (GNS) or vocational requirements, such as:
ENT 121: General Management and Human Resources
ENT 221: Entrepreneurship and Business Management
ENT 321: Accounting for Business Management
So, if you're looking to gain practical business skills while getting your degree, it's a solid choice.
