For Augustine University as tagged in your question;
While 170 is the minimum to apply to the university, competitive programs like Nursing Science often have a higher "internal" benchmark. In previous years, candidates were generally expected to have 180 – 200 to be considered competitive for the Nursing merit list.
Score Required to Get Admission
Admission is rarely based on the JAMB score alone. AUI uses an Aggregate System to rank candidates. To secure a spot in Nursing, you should aim for the following targets based on past trends:
1. The JAMB Component (50%)
For a strong start, you need a JAMB UTME score of 220+
2. The Post-UTME Component (50%)
AUI conducts a screening/Post-UTME exam. To be safe for Nursing (which has a strict training quota of 100 students), you should target a score of 70/100 or higher.
