1. Kogi State University cut-off mark for Public Administration
Prince Abubakar Audu University (formerly Kogi State University)
For Public Administration:
General JAMB eligibility: 170+ minimum for the school
Real competitive range for Public Administration: 180 – 220+
Departmental cut-off (recent trends): usually around 180–200+ depending on competition
Public Administration is not one of the most competitive courses, so it is easier than Law, Medicine, etc.
2. General course cut-off in the school
For PAAU (KSU):
Minimum JAMB cut-off for admission: about 170
Competitive courses (Law, Nursing, Medicine): 220 – 260+
Less competitive courses (Public Admin, Sociology, etc.): 170 – 200+
So each course has its own cut-off based on demand.
3. Can 148 JAMB get you Public Administration?
Very honestly: No, it is highly unlikely.
Why:
148 is below the university’s minimum requirement (~170)
Public Administration still has many applicants with higher scores
Even if you are considered, Post-UTME and ranking will not favor such a low score
Conclusion:
Not eligible for admission in most cases
Very low chance even if you apply
4. Can O’level help you?
Yes — but only to support your score, not replace it.
O’level (WAEC/NECO):
Helps your aggregate score
Strong grades (A’s and B’s in relevant subjects) can improve ranking
BUT:
It cannot fix a very low JAMB score like 148
Example:
Good O’level = +help in ranking
Low JAMB = still major disadvantage
