FOR FULOKOJA as tagged in your question.
Your chances are extremely slim for Medicine at Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) with a 254.
While a 254 is a very good score for many courses, Medicine and Surgery is in a different league of competition. Here is the breakdown of why this is a high-risk situation:
1. The Aggregate Gap
FULOKOJA uses an aggregate system (usually combining JAMB and your Screening results). In the most recent cycles:
The Merit Cut-off for Medicine: Has consistently been around 77.5% to 78%.
Your O'Level grades are strong, but for Medicine at FULOKOJA, they are "standard" rather than a competitive advantage.
The Good: A1 in Physics and Biology is excellent.
The Risk: C5 in English and B2 in Chemistry. For Medicine, most competitive candidates present straight As or B2s in all five core subjects. FULOKOJA requires all 5 credits to be in one sitting for Health Sciences. If your results are in one sitting, you are eligible, but the C5 in English lowers your overall points compared to others.
