Does Covenant now have mechatronics engineering?

Hello! Yes — Covenant University does have Mechatronics Engineering, but it’s currently structured within the Mechanical Engineering department rather than as a completely separate standalone programme.

At the undergraduate level, students are admitted into Mechanical Engineering, and one of the planned specializations is Mechatronics Engineering starting at the 300 level.
This means students take the same foundational Mechanical Engineering courses in 100–200 levels, then focus on Mechatronics topics later in the programme.

So while you don’t apply directly to a “Mechatronics Engineering” programme as a separate department in Covenant’s prospectus yet, the university does offer Mechatronics as a specialization within its Mechanical Engineering degree.
