Yes — you can still apply for polytechnic admission, but it depends mainly on the course you want to study.

👉 General Requirement for Polytechnics (ND programmes):
Most polytechnics require at least five credits, usually including English Language and Mathematics, especially for science, engineering, business, and technology courses.

👉 With a D7 in Mathematics:

For math-related courses (Engineering, Computer Science, Accountancy, Statistics, etc.), admission is unlikely because Mathematics is compulsory.

For less math-intensive programmes, some schools may consider a pass, but this is not very common and varies by institution.

✅ Best and Safest Option: Rewrite Mathematics (WAEC, NECO, or GCE). Once you upgrade it to at least a C6, your admission chances will increase significantly and you’ll have more courses available.

✅ Alternative Path: Some schools allow you to apply with your current results while awaiting a resit result, provided you upload the improved grade later.

In summary: You can apply, but your course options may be limited with a D7 in Mathematics. Upgrading that result is strongly recommended if you want better opportunities and fewer admission obstacles.
