Hybridization, in Chemistry, is defined as the concept of mixing two atomic orbitals to give rise to a new type of hybridized orbitals. This intermixing usually results in the formation of hybrid orbitals having entirely different energy, shapes, etc.

Linear, trigonal planar, tetrahedral, trigonal bipyramidal, and octahedral seem to be the five primary forms of hybridisation. The orbital arrangement's geometry is as follows: Linear: In sp hybridisation, two-electron groups are involved, and the angle between orbitals is 180°
