The University of Lagos (UNILAG) offers a Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc) degree program through the Department of Nursing Science, College of Medicine. There are two admission pathways for the program:
1. University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Entry:
Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent, obtained in no more than two sittings.
The required subjects include:
English Language
Mathematics
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
In addition to the O'Level requirements, candidates must also participate in the UTME and achieve the required cut-off mark for the Nursing Science program. The cut-off mark is set annually by the university and is usually competitive.
UTME subjects required for the Nursing Science program are:
English Language
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
2. Direct Entry:
This entry option is for candidates who possess a Registered Nurse (RN) certificate from a recognized institution.
Applicants must have very good passes in the following subjects in their JUPEB/A'Level examinations:
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
