S= Ut+ 1/2at^2
Rearranging;
(1/2)at^2+ut-s=0
using general quadratic formula;
t=[-b(+or-)sqrt[b^2-4ac]]/2a
where; a=1/2(a),b=u and c=-s
therefore,
t=[-u(+or-)sqrt[u^2-4*1/2(a)*(-s)]]/2(1/2a)
t=[-u(+or-)sqrt[u^2+2as]]/a

s=ut+½at²
s-ut=½at²
multiply both side by 2
2(s-ut)=at²
Divide both side by "a"
2(s-ut)/a=t²
Take square root of both side
t= √2(s-ut)/a
