A load of volume 600cm2 is totally immersed in water at density 0.9 g/cm3 and nitrogen at density 0.2 g/cm3. Calculate the upthrust in each of the weight if mass is 10m/s2?

V= 600cm³
D(w)= 0.9g/cm³
D(N2)= 0.2g/cm³
m= 10kg= 10000g

Upthrust= DVg, D= density, V= volume and g= acceleration due to gravity.

Upthrust when immersed in water= 0.9 × 600 × 10= 5400N

Upthrust when immersed in Nitrogen= 0.2 × 600 × 10= 1200N
