What's the living condition like in Madonna university for optometry students or students in general?...

What's the living condition like in Madonna university for optometry students or students in general? Do you have to stay in the hostel? Are there separate lodges for students who want to stay alone? Can a student stay alone? How many people stay in the hostel? How many people stay in a dorm? How many people stay in a room...is it like normal university rooming like when three or two people stay in a room?

Madonna University Expanding its Residential Offerings

In response to increased demand for a residential university experience, Madonna University leaders continue to expand the school’s residence life offerings.

“The residential experience has always been important at Madonna University,” said President Michael A. Grandillo, Ph.D. “We’re growing, and our academic programs are attracting students from greater distances. More and more students want to have the residential college experience.”

The first phase of a five year plan, completed in 2018, included construction of two residence halls on the northeast corner of campus near the current University Center housing. Madonna’s capacity for residential students has been increased from 300 to 450. The new residence halls provide the latest in student-housing amenities, enhancing students’ campus living and learning experience. The buildings were designed from the ground up to attract students by creating a unique living situation that is not common among traditional higher education offerings.

Designed with freshman and sophomore students in mind, the first building provides 98 total beds in a mix of private, and semi-private rooms. The three-story residence hall features two sections on either side of a common student lounge and dining area on each floor. The fully-furnished bedrooms include private closets and desks for each student. The residents on each floor share private bathrooms, common laundry space, and common lounge space that includes a full kitchen and seating area.

The second building is an apartment-style residence hall designed for juniors and seniors who want to remain on campus. It provides room for 57 beds within a three-story building at approximately 21,000 sq. ft. There are 11 suites that can house five students each in private bedrooms. Also included on the 1st floor is an apartment designated for a housing coordinator and a one-bedroom resident assistant room. Student suites share a full kitchen, living room, and two full bathrooms. Each suite is fully furnished. Students enter the suite through a shared lounge area to help promote interaction among residents.
